I absolutely loved this story. Funny thing is, I met this dog at the Javits center when he was a puppy! I didn't know anything about him when I purchased the book. Small world! I really enjoy books that are "written" by dogs, because they have such an enjoyable outlook on life. Lol Chester has a delightful personality and kept me laughing. Hope to meet him in "person" again soon to tell him what a fine writer he is! VERY cleverly written, a quick enjoyable read! Hope there will be a sequel.Product details

The adventures of Chester Gigolo are hilarious! This is such a delight to read, from his meeting his brother(you know, Chester's adopted) who goes to class to learn tricks (Chester is home schooled) to innocently chewing up his mom's Manolo Blahniks. I laughed out loud. It is a fun book for all ages!
This book is about the adventures of a dog who thinks he is a person. It is a light read that would be suitable for children.
Chester GiGolo's first book is a tour de force! Absolutely riveting. He is witty, erudite and quite the man about town. Mr GiGolo's tails of his life as a star of stage, screen and obedience/agility ring are a joy to read. Word on the street is that he is working on an autobiography. All I can say is write quickly! I am Mr. GiGolo's most ardent fan and am awaiting the next installment as eagerly as Mom awaited the next Harry Potter! Hugs from Pebbles!
I purchased this title because I also own a Berger Picard which is the breed of Chester the author of the book. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It is a light hearted story writen through the eyes of Chester a young dog. The charm and of the writing and the silliness of Chester's adventures makes this a book that will be enjoyed by any dog lover, both young and old. I have to admit that since reading this, my Picard and Chester have started conversing electronically, both Jean Luc and I hope to see more adventures of Chester in the future.
This book made me laugh out loud. What if we humans could be like this wonderfully happy dog? Just read it. You will feel terrific.

A fun book for dog lovers of all ages. Light-hearted adventures of a very worldly dog, told by Chester, himself. He has dreams of stardom and adventure and does not hesitate to follow them equipped with PB & J sandwiches, his overcoat and sunglasses. I think he may become as popular as Lassie, Marley or Rin Tin-tin! What a delightful story - not just for kids.
I am sure he will bring a lot of attention to his wonderful breed, the Berger Picard.
